About Us
Who We Are
GPS Relief and it was founded in 2018 by former students from Garissa Primary School who came together in the spirit of giving back to society by engaging in activities that improve the quality of life of communities in Garissa
GPS CBO has since grown both in membership and activities and has a big dream going forward.
At GPS, we are passionate about helping communities develop the skills they need to make positive changes for themselves and society at large. We do so by developing, designing, supporting and cascading service based initiatives and programs for people in society who need them the most
We prioritize health care, education, water & sanitation, youth and women economic empowerment, food distribution, disasters mitigation like drought and floods, construction of mosques, organizing medical camps and construction of orphanages among other life uplifting activities. We also enlighten the society on the need to peacefully co-exist and live according to religious and common norms by avoiding conflicts and other unacceptable behaviour.
In the spirit of caring for the needy, we have constructed a Wing within Garissa Primary School to take care of People living With Disabilities (PWDs) both mentally and physically. We offer food, beddings and other non-food items to the students
